Facial Vein Treatments

Although facial vein treatment is not medically necessary, superficial facial veins can be treated as a cosmetic procedure.  Facial spider veins and thread veins are most common around the cheeks and nose.  Dilated bluish veins (reticular veins) are usually found along the cheekbones and temples, under the eyes, around the mouth or across the jawbone.

Exposure to the damaging ultraviolet sun rays is a main cause that leads to the development of facial spider veins.

At your initial consultation, a treatment plan will be discussed as well as whether you are a candidate for Veinwave™ or sclerotherapy or both.

Facial veins are considered cosmetic in nature and their treatment is not covered by insurance plans.
